Own It

I’m sorry to all the people I’ve let down,
I’m sorry if I ever made you frown,
I’m sorry if I ever took off your crown,
I’m sorry if I ever made you into a clown,

We all make mistakes and I haven’t always been the first one to admit it,
Sometimes the ego lies to us and we find ourselves in a state of regret it,
We end up finding ourselves in our ways of escape in an attempt to forget it,
But no matter how much we try to run away the feeling we can’t neglect it,

However, it is in the errors that the solution is found,
Can only learn to pick yourself up when you hit the ground,
Can only go so far into the wrong direction to turn around,
Can only make enough wrong decision to make decisions so sound,

I will be better today than I was yesterday,
Learning from making mistakes every way,
Working on moulding my character like clay,
Eventually there will be a brighter day.

The Motion

Intro
Their eyes met under the sunset,
Her smile was the best he had seen yet,
His charm got everything set,
Now fate was all that was lef’,

Beautiful Bliss
He cherished the beautiful taste of her lips,
She enjoyed his witty conversations so lit,
Together they felt the world was beneath their feet,
If this was a dream – they’d never let go of sleep,

Reality Check
All good things must come to an end,
Their life together they thought they would spend,
He made one too many mistakes on a rave weekend,
Some broken bonds are too hard to mend,

Her
Absence makes the heart grow fonder,
But that only made her grow colder,
She had to endure life’s demeanour without a shoulder,
Moving forward like nothing can hold her,

Him
Absence makes the heart grow fonder,
But that only made his yearning stronger,
He could not move on knowing he wronged her,
Nostalgia made the healing process longer.
